Ind vs SL 3rd T20I: Team India made a clean sweep of the Sri Lankan team with the 12th consecutive win. The Indian team defeated the Sri Lankan team by 6-wickets in the third and last T20 match played on Sunday. In this way, India also made a 3-0 clean sweep of Sri Lanka after New Zealand and the West Indies and made a record. With this, India won the 7th consecutive series at home. The win helped India extend their winning streak in the format to 12 wins out of 12.

This is the Indian team’s 12th consecutive win in the T20 format and becomes the third team after Afghanistan and Romania to register the most consecutive wins. Although Romania’s team does not have Test-playing status.

The Sri Lankan captain after winning the toss decided to bat first. Sri Lanka scored 146 runs for 5-wickets on the back of captain Dasun Shanaka’s unbeaten 74 runs. In reply, India won an easy scoring 148 runs for 4-wickets in 16.5 overs. Once again in this match, captain Rohit Sharma could not walk and lost his wicket cheaply. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 5 runs, followed by Sanju Samson was also dismissed after scoring 18 runs.

He became the first Indian batsman to score 200 runs in a series of 3 or more matches. Along with the Man of the match, he also became the Man of the series.

Shreyas Iyer hit 3 half-centuries in this series. He scored a total of 204 runs in this series. Shreyas remained unbeaten in all three matches. He hit 20 fours and 7-sixes in this series. The strike rate was 174.35.
