DC vs PBKS: Delhi Capitals won the crucial match by 17 runs, washed Punjab for the second time this season. Both the captains Mayank Agarwal and Rishabh Pant disappointed their teams again. After winning the toss, Punjab decided to bowl first and allowed Delhi to score only 159 runs for seven wickets. In reply, Punjab’s team could only score 142 runs for nine wickets.
Mitchell Marsh eased the way for Delhi. The hopes of Punjab Kings got a setback. After Mitchell Marsh’s brilliant half-century, Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by 17 runs in the IPL match played on Monday night. With this win, Delhi has 14 points with seven wins from thirteen matches and is close to making it to the playoffs. On the other hand, the road to the playoffs has become very difficult for Punjab.
Mitchell took over the team by partnering

Marsh scored the second half-century of this season and played a blistering inning of 63 runs in 48 balls. During this, Marsh hit four fours and three sixes. Whereas Sarfaraz Khan scored 32 runs in 16 balls and Lalit Yadav scored 24 runs in 21 balls. Mitchell has played seven matches so far this season and scored 251 runs.
The bowlers did well
Shardul Thakur took four wickets for the first time: Shardul Thakur took four wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs for the Delhi team. He did this for the first time. Spin duo Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav also wreaked havoc and both took two wickets each.

Punjab batsmen flop

While Jonny Bairstow scored 28 and Shikhar Dhawan scored 19 runs. Rahul Chahar also played an innings of 25 runs. With this defeat, the Punjab team is almost out of the race for the playoffs.
Both the captains disappointed again
The captains of both Punjab and Delhi teams needed to show something amazing in the game. In IPL 2022, Punjab captain Mayank Agarwal and Delhi captain Rishabh Pant are in very poor form with the bat. There is more pressure especially on Mayank because he didn’t even start the innings.
