IND vs RSA: Bowlers Dominated The Third Day

IND vs RSA, The third day of the first centurion test was in the bowler’s name. Total 18 wickets fall on the third day of the test between India and South Africa. The second-day game was washed away due to the rain. Where on the first day only three wickets were fallen but on the third day, we saw the shower of wickets.

By the end of the third-day game, team India had made a good hold of the game. India Scored 327 runs in its first innings and bowled out the whole South African team for a mere score of 197. This gave the Indian Team a total lead of 130 runs. In the second inning of the third day, India made 16 runs and lost 1 wicket.

India could not take forward the momentum from day 1

Indian team started the third-day game with a score of 272 runs. Where India had lost only 3 wickets on the first day but lost the remaining 7 wickets by adding just  55 runs to the scoreboard. KL Rahul scored 123 and Anjikya Rahane played 48 runs inning. Lungi Ngidi took the maximum of 6 wickets from the South African side.

South African Batsmen could not perform well

On one hand, where Indian bowlers showed their edge with the ball, the South African batting line disappointed everyone with their performance. The whole team got out for a total of 197 runs. Temba Bavuma played an inning of 52 runs, the highest runs in the first inning from the South Africa side. Besides that Quinton de Kock contributed 34 runs for the team.

Shami completed 200 wickets milestone

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami took a maximum of 5 wickets in the first innings. With this feat, he becomes the third-fastest Indian pacer to take 200 wickets. Besides this, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur took 2-2 wickets each of South Africa.
