Cricket West Indies announced the 15 members team for the upcoming ODI series against India on the 6th of February. West Indies team will play 3 ODIs against India in Ahmedabad. The Caribbean experienced bowler Kemar Roach, Nkrumah Bonner, and Brandon King are back in the West Indies ODI team. Roach is a regular player of the West Indies test team but he played the last ODI against India in August 2019.
Newly elected chief selector Desmond Haynes said in his statement, ” Kamer Roach is our main fast bowler and we think that we need such bowers who help the team to get early success in matches. Kemar Roach’s economy is around five and he is the right choice for the series. We need more competition for the places in the team. We want more than one player competing for each place in the team. The team we have selected is a very good team. We see this series as the preparation for the 2023 World Cup in India.
