IND vs SA 2nd ODI: India beat South Africa to draw 1-1 in three-match series. Shreyas Iyer hit the second century of his ODI career. Team india won by 7 wickets.

Shreyas Iyer (113 not out) scored the second century of his ODI career and Ishan Kishan (93) scored a brilliant inning as India beat South Africa by 7 wickets in the second ODI played here on Sunday. With this win, the Indian team leveled 1-1 in the three-match ODI series.

Batting first after winning the toss in the match played at Ranchi’s JSCA Stadium, South Africa scored 278 for seven in 50 overs with half-centuries from Aidan Markram and Reeza Hendricks. In reply, India won by scoring 282 runs for 3 wickets in 45.5 overs.

The best innings of Ishaan’s career

Young batsman Ishan Kishan played the best innings of his ODI career here. However, he missed his maiden century by just 7 runs. Ishaan scored 93 runs in 84 balls with 4 fours and 7 sixes. Sanju Samson remained unbeaten on 30. He hit a four and a six.

Ishan-Shreyas century partnership: Indian team lost 2 wickets for 48 runs. But then Ishan and Shreyas shared 161 runs for the third wicket and gave the hosts a 7-wicket win.

Brilliant bowling in the death overs

Shahbaz became the 247th player of India: All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has become the 274th player to play international one-day cricket from India. Shahbaz, who hails from Mewat, Haryana, played his first first-class match against Hyderabad in the Ranji Trophy for Bengal. He took the wicket of Jaaneman Malan for 54 runs in his first ODI and took the catch of Hendrix.

Stopped the guest from scoring big

South Africa had scored 215 runs in 38 overs from the innings of Reeza Hendricks and Aidan Markram and the score seemed to be crossing 300 but then the Indian bowlers bowled tight in the death overs. The South African batsmen could only score 31 runs in between 40 and 45 overs and again in the death overs, the visiting batsmen failed to score runs fast.

Siraj took 3 wickets

Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj performed brilliantly, taking three wickets for 38 runs. After bowling opener Quinton de Kock for 5 runs, Hendrix was caught out and broke the partnership. He took the third wicket of Keshav Maharaj. Besides Siraj, Washington, Shardul Thakur, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

T20 Series: England beat Australia

Butler came back with a bang, and Hales also shined. England beat Australia by 8 runs in the first T20 on Sunday with the lethal bowling of Mark Wood (34/3) after half a century of Alex Hales (84) and Jos Buttler (68). England scored 208 runs for six wickets in 20 overs, in response, the Australian team could only score 200 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Butler returned to the field after about two months and added 132 runs in the opening partnership with Hales.

Indian players also arrived: India’s R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel, and Dinesh Karthik also reached there to watch the match between Australia and England.
