Rajasthan Royals Beat Lucknow Supergiants By Three Runs

Batting first, the Royals scored 165 runs for six wickets. Chasing the target, Lucknow team lost by only 3 runs. Rajasthan won the match with Hetmyer’s scintillating half-century. With Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten half-century, Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Supergiants by three runs in the IPL match played on Sunday.

Batting first, Rajasthan scored 165 for six. In reply, Lucknow’s team could only score 162 runs for eight wickets. Lucknow, chasing the target, was given early shocks by pacer Trent Boult. He bowled Lokesh Rahul on the first ball of the first over.

Hetmyer played a brilliant inning

Shimron Hetmyer scored an unbeaten 59 off 36 balls for Rajasthan. He hit one four and six sixes. Hetmyer scored the first half-century of this season and the third half-century of the IPL. Rajasthan had lost four wickets for 67 runs then Hetmyer put on a 68-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Ravichandran Ashwin.

Delhi Capitals Beat Kolkata Knight Riders

Delhi Capitals beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs prevented them from making a hat-trick of victory. By making the biggest score of this season, Delhi Capitals defeated KKR. The Delhi Capitals team, which lost two consecutive matches, made a strong comeback in IPL 15 on Sunday. Delhi scored the highest score of the season and prevented Kolkata Knight Riders from registering a third consecutive win by defeating them by 44 runs. Delhi’s second win in four matches while Kolkata’s second defeat in five matches.

Kolkata won the toss and decided to bowl first. Delhi’s opener David Warner and Prithvi Shaw both scored half-centuries and led delhi to 215 runs for five wickets. This is the biggest score of this season. Earlier the highest score was 211 runs for 4 wickets which was made by Lucknow Supergiants against Chennai Super Kings. In reply, Kolkata’s team was all out after scoring 171 runs in 19.4 overs.

Unmatched partnership

Warner-Prithvi added 93 runs for the first wicket. First to bat, Delhi’s opening pair David Warner and Prithvi Shaw gave a great start. Both the batsmen added 93 runs for the first wicket in 8.4 overs. Warner scored the first half-century of this season and Prithvi scored his second half-century in this season of IPL. Prithvi scored 51 runs in 29 balls.

Two half-centuries are in the name of Prithvi Shaw this season. Prithvi has scored 12 fifties in IPL so far.

Warner scored first of this season and a total of 50th half-century

In 145 matches, Warner scored 50 half-centuries. Dhawan came second with 44 half-centuries. David Warner played a brilliant inning of 61 runs in 45 balls against Kolkata. During his fiery innings, Warner hit six fours and two sixes. With this, he scored the 50th half-century of his IPL career, becoming the first batsman in IPL history to score 50 or more centuries.

Kuldeep Yadav is the experienced spinner of Delhi’s team. He bowled amazingly and took four wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav got entitled as the man of the match for this brilliant performance.
