Team India's Tour Of South Africa Is An Eye-Opener

The head coach of the Indian cricket team Rahul Dravid accepted Team India’s tour of South Africa as an Eye-Openerthere. There is a lack of balance in the national one-day team and the players will have to fulfill the responsibility. After losing the Test series against South Africa, Team India had to face a 0-3 clean sweep in the One Day series as well.

Disappointed with the performance of the team, the head coach of the team Dravid said that the tour of South Africa was an eye-opener for us. He said that the more one-day matches we play before the 2023 World Cup, the more clear the picture about team composition will be.

Good team players are unfit

Dravid said The team’s momentum depends on balance, the good options we have as all-rounders are currently unfit and are not available for selections. When Jadeja and Hardik will return, the team will be very strong. If Venkatesh Iyer wants to be in the limited-overs team, then he will have to mold himself in the middle order.

Disappointed with the defeat, Rahul Dravid lashed out at the middle-order batsmen

The middle-order batsmen were blamed for this defeat. Rahul said Indian batsmen lost direction between 20th and 40th over. He said that our batsmen could have batted better in the middle overs. We looked in a strong position after the 30th over. But some poor shot selection took the fight out of our hands. Dravid’s gesture was towards Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. He said that along with giving opportunities, we want the player to feel safe, but at the same time, they are also expected to perform well.

K L Rahul will shine with time

Regarding the captaincy of K L Rahul, the coach said that people have to understand that they did the best they could from the team available. Dravid said I think Rahul did a good job. He will learn and grow as a captain with time.
