IND vs WI 3rd ODI: India Beat West Indies By 119 Runs In The 3rd ODI, Won The Series By 3-0. The third match of the three-match ODI series between India and the West Indies was played at the Queen’s Park Oval ground in Port of Spain. Batting first, India had set a target of 257 runs in front of the West Indies with Duckworth-Lewis. In reply, the West Indies team bundled out on 137 runs.
Under the Duckworth-Lewis rule, West Indies got a target of 257 runs in 35 overs, but they were all out in 26 overs. Due to rain, only 36 overs were played in the Indian innings.
Shubman Srtiked Weel But Missed His Century
Electing to bat after winning the toss, the Indian team made a strong start. Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill added 113 runs for the first wicket. This partnership broke after Dhawan was dismissed in the 23rd over. He became the victim of Heidel Walsh in the 23rd over after scoring 58 runs in 74 balls with 7-fours. From here, Gill led the innings with Shreyas Iyer but after 24 overs, the game had to be stopped due to rain. When the match resumed, the overs were reduced to 40-40.

West Indies got off to a bad start
Chasing the target, West Indies made a disappointing start. He lost two wickets without adding any runs. Mohammed Siraj bowled Kyle Meyers (0) on the first ball of the second over and Shamrah Brooks (0) lbw on the third ball. It was followed by a 47-run partnership for the second wicket between Shai Hope (22 off 33 balls) and Brendan King (42 off 37 balls). Hope was stumped by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 10th over. King was bowled out by Axar Patel in the 14th over. He hit 5-fours and 1-six in his innings. West Indies’ fifth wicket fell in the form of Kisi Carty (5 from 17 balls), who was bowled by Shardul Thakur in the 19th over.
India created history and left Pakistan behind in terms of consecutive wins in the ODI series
The Indian team, performing amazingly, won the third ODI against West Indies by a margin of 119 runs. With this, Team India created history under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan. India made a clean sweep in the ODI series on Caribbean soil for the first time and won all the three ODIs of the series. Earlier, India definitely won the series but did a clean sweep for the first time.
India also broke the world record of arch-rival Pakistan. Pakistan had won 11 consecutive bilateral ODI series against Zimbabwe. Now India has left him behind.
