IND vs WI 1st T20: Rohit’s captaincy innings, Team India won by 68 runs. The Indian team defeated West Indies by 68 runs and takes a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. Captain Rohit Sharma (64) and Dinesh Karthik (41 not out) followed a scintillating performance by the bowlers as India beat West Indies in the first T20I. With this, India took a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. Batting first after losing the toss, Team India scored 190 for six wickets in 20 overs.

In reply, the West Indies team could score only 122 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Arshdeep Singh, R Ashwin, and Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets each. Karthik was adjudged the player of the match for his innings of 19 balls with four fours and two sixes.
