After winning the toss, the Indian team decided to bowl first. West Indies scored 157 runs for 7-wickets. In reply, India won by scoring162 runs for 4-wickets in 18.5 overs. Venkatesh Iyer completes the formalities of victory by hitting a six-off spinner, Fabian Allen. Chasing the target, India at a point lost 4-wickets for 114 runs. In such a situation, Surya Kumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer gave the team victory by playing an unbeaten 58-run partnership in just 4.2 overs for the fifth wicket. Surya Kumar scored 34 runs in 18 balls, Venkatesh Iyer played an unbeaten inning of 24 runs in 13 balls.
Rohit and Ishaan gave a good start
Chasing the target of 158 runs, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a good start. Both the players put on 64 runs in 7.3 overs for the first wicket whereas, Rohit played a quick inning of 40 runs in 19 balls. He hit four fours and three sixes. Ishan Kishan returned to the pavilion after playing a 35-runs inning in 42 balls with four fours.
For T20 matches, BCCI allows 20 thousand spectators to come to the stadium to watch the match.
Ravi became the man of the match in the debut match itself
Rajasthan (Jodhpur) 21-year-old leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi’s dream of playing national cricket has come true. In the very first T20 match played against West Indies on Wednesday, Bishnoi took 2-wickets for 17-runs in 4-overs.

Ravi Bishnoi shone with the ICC Under 19 World Cup played in 2020. Bishnoi took the highest 17 wickets in that tournament. After this, Bishnoi was bought by Punjab Kings in the IPL auction in 2020 for Rs 2 crore. Whereas in IPL 2022 he has been included in the Lucknow Super Giants.
