CSK vs RCB: Ravindra Jadeja led Chennai Super Kings finally opened their victory account by making the biggest score of this season. Defending champion CSK, who lost the opening matches of IPL 15, registered their first victory of the season by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs on Tuesday.

After winning the toss, the RCB captain decided to bowl first. Chennai scored 216 runs for four wickets with the help of half-centuries from Shivam Dubey and Robin Uthappa. It is the highest score of this season. In reply, RCB’s team could only score 193 runs for 9 wickets. Earlier high score was when Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals scored 215 runs for five wickets in the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders on 10th April.

The partnership of 165-runs

Chennai’s team lost two wickets for 36 runs. But Uthappa and Shivam shared 165 runs in 74 balls for the third wicket. Chennai scored 60 runs for 2 wickets in 10 overs. But after this, the team added 156 runs in 10 overs. Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 95 off 46 balls. Robin Uthappa was dismissed after scoring 88 runs in 50 balls.

Chennai’s young batsman Shivam Dubey scored the second half-century of this season of IPL. He became the man of the match with his scintillating batting against RCB. Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 95 in his innings which included 5 fours and 8 sixes.
