After winning the toss and Delhi decided to bowl first. Gujarat team scored 170 runs for 6 wickets. Chasing the target, Delhi’s team could only manage 157 runs for 9 wickets.

Lockie Ferguson took 4 wickets for the first time
Gujarat fast bowler Lockie Ferguson took 4 wickets while bowling lethally. He gave his best performance in IPL and took 4 wickets in an innings for the first time. Apart from him, fast bowler Mohammed Shami also took 2 wickets in his name. At the same time, Delhi captain Rishabh Pant played a fast inning of 43 runs in 29 balls but he could not get his team to victory.
IPL 2022: Gujarat team is only the second team this season to successfully defend the target. Before this, Rajasthan Royals have defended the target in two consecutive matches.
