Hero of the match: Kuldeep sen
The hero of this match was Kuldeep Sen. He took back to back two important wickets in the seventh and sent Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell back to the dugout. He took total four wickets for 20 runs in 3.3 overs. Kuldeep, playing the third match in this season of IPL, contributed significantly to his team’s victory.
Apart from him, spinner R Ashwin took three wickets for 17 runs. Prasidh Krishna took two wickets for 23 runs. He took wicket of the out of form Virat Kohli.
Virat also flopped in the opening
The team management of RCB had put former captain Virat Kohli as the opener in this match. But he couldn’t play well here too. He became the victim of Prasidh Krishna and scored only 9-runs in 10 balls.
Riyan Parag scored his first half-century
Riyan Parag scored the first half-century of the season to help Rajasthan Royals take the innings to 144 runs. Riyan played an unbeaten 56 off 31 balls with three fours and four sixes. Parag stood till the end. During the match, there was also a clash between Riyan and RCB bowler Harshal Patel. In Patel’s last over, Riyan looted 18 runs with two sixes and a four.
