hardik pandya fit for ipl but unfit for ranji

Indian team’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is recovering from injury and poor fitness,  has refused to play in Ranji Trophy. The domestic tournament is starting on February 10. Baroda squad was announced on Monday, which did not include Hardik Pandya. According to a report, Hardik has cited poor fitness.

Earlier it was believed that Hardik would try to return to his fitness and form by playing in the Ranji Trophy. He has been running out of the Indian team since the last T20 World Cup played in UAE last year.

The Baroda Cricket Association revealed their 20-member squad for the first phase of the tournament. Kedar Devdhar was listed as the captain and Hardik Pandya wasn’t on the list.

Hardik Will lead the Ahemdabad team in IPL-15

Hardik will return for the IPL 2022 where he will be leading the Ahemdabad team. Hardik Pandya will be seen captaining Ahemdabad in the upcoming IPL season.

The question is arising that when he can play in IPL then why is he not playing in the domestic tournament Ranji Trophy?

Team name revealed

The Indian Premier League (IPL) season 15 is all set to introduce a couple of new teams. One of those teams will be from Ahmedabad. On Monday, the team’s official name was announced. Team Ahmedabad will come to challenge on the field with the name of Ahemdabad Titans in the upcoming IPL.

Dispute on return

The special thing is that Hardik Pandya did not even listen to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. During a recent interview, Ganguly had said that he wants Hardik Pandya to return to the field with Ranji Trophy. But now it is not going to happen as Hardik has refused to participate in Ranji. Hardik hasn’t played red-ball cricket since 2018. While Hardik’s brother, Krunal has been picked for the Ranji Trophy tournament.
