Ind vs SL 1st T20: Team India’s 10th consecutive win with Ishaan-Shreyas’s half-centuries. Keeping the winning streak alive, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs in the first T20 match. It is India’s 10th consecutive win in the T20 format. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to field in the game played on Thursday. India made a score of 199 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could only manage 137 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. India has established a 1-0 lead in the three-match series against Sri Lanka.

Hero of victory

Ishaan Kishan played the best innings of his international career. Opener Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave India a great start and shared a 111-run partnership for the first wicket in 11.5 overs. Player of the match Ishaan scored the second half-century of his T20 International career. He scored a career-best 89 runs. Earlier his best score was 56 runs. Playing 56 balls, Ishaan hit ten fours and three sixes, while Rohit Sharma scored 44 runs in 32 balls.

Shreyas Iyer, who came out to bat at number three, scored an unbeaten 57 runs in just 28 balls. Iyer scored the fourth half-century of his career. He hit six boundaries including five fours and two sixes in his innings.

Deepak Hooda made his T-20 debut

All-rounder Deepak Hooda was included in the playing XI for the first T20I against Sri Lanka. He has become the 97th player to play T20I cricket for India. Captain Rohit Sharma handed him the cap of the Indian team before the match.

Rohit became the highest run-scorer in T20I

Rohit reached the top after scoring a total of 3307 runs. Rohit has scored 26 fifties and 4 centuries in 123 matches. Rohit became the first cricketer to cross the 3300-run mark.

Guptill left behind

Rohit left New Zealand’s Martin Guptill behind. Guptill has 3299 runs in International T20 while Virat Kohli is at number three with 3296 runs.

IPL from March 26, 40 percent audience entry

The 15th edition of IPL will start on March 26 with a total of ten teams. IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel gave this information after the Governing Council meeting on Thursday. The final of the IPL will be played on May 29, the same 40 percent of the audience will be allowed to enter the stadium to watch the match. The final of this season can be played in Ahmedabad.

70 matches in Maharashtra

A total of 70 matches will be played in Maharashtra in this season of IPL. Matches will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede, Brabourne, Navi Mumbai’s D-Y Patil, and Pune’s Gahunje Stadium. Although the venue of the knockout matches is not yet decided.
