In the recent mega auction, Jason Roy was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2 crore. The English batsman is believed to have pulled out of the tournament citing the challenge of being in the bio bubble for a long time.

Jason Roy wrote on his social media platform that I have decided to withdraw from the tournament this year. Whatever happened due to corona in the world in the last 3 years has had an impact on me. I think it is right that I want to spend some time with my family.

Test Series With Sri Lanka

The Indian team will land in Mohali after 1997 to play a Test match with Sri Lanka. India played the only test match against Sri Lanka here in 1997 which ended in a draw. Sourav Ganguly and Navjot Singh Sidhu scored centuries for India in that test. At the same time, Marwan Atapattu and Arvind de Silva scored centuries for Sri Lanka.
