Virat Kohli was the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for 8 years. But during that time he could not get the team the title. He left the captaincy after the 2021 season. Since then no new captain has been decided for RCB. RCB’s captaincy race is lined up for Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, and India’s Dinesh Karthik.
Maxwell, du Plessis, and Dinesh Karthik all have captaincy experience, but none of them is a very successful captain. RCB has not won the title even once so far, it will be interesting to see which player the team management trusts and to whom they will hand over the command for the upcoming season.
