Rajasthan Royals made a royal debut in the first match of the fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League with Captain Sanju and Chahal.

After a strong performance by the batsmen, Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 61 runs with the superb bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal 3 for 22, Trent Boult 2 for 23, and famous Krishna 2 for 16.

Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Rajasthan Royals made a strong score of 210 runs for six wickets. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad could only manage 149 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.

Butler completed 2000 runs

Jos Buttler completed 2000 runs in his IPL career during his innings of 35 runs. He has become the first English batsman to complete the fastest 2000 runs in IPL. Butler has achieved this position in 65 innings.

Sanju’s 16th Half-Century

Earlier, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson, batting brilliantly, scored the 16th half-century of his career. He played a blistering inning of 55 runs in 27 balls with three fours and five sixes. Apart from Sanju, Devdutt Padikal contributed 41, Jos Buttler 35, and Shimron Hetmyer contributed 32 runs in the last overs. Sanju Samson added 73 runs in 41 balls with Devdutt Padikal for the third wicket.

Lost 5 wickets for 34 runs

Sunrisers team, chasing the target of 211 runs, looked under pressure from the beginning. They lost their 5 wickets by adding just 37 runs. The top five batsmen could not even touch the double-figure. Aiden Markram scored an unbeaten 57 to take the team past 140 runs.

Tender issued for media rights from 2023 to 2027

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a tender for the media rights of IPL from 2023 to 2027. The BCCI issued a release on Tuesday. Board Secretary Jay Shah tweeted, “I am happy to announce that BCCI has issued tender for IPL media rights for the season 2023 to 2027. For the first time in IPL history, media executives will be auctioned which will be held from June 12.

Franchise is angry with the players withdrawing

There will be strictness on the players who withdraw from the league, there may be a ban. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to take strict action against the players who withdraw from the Indian Premier League. According to the report, before the start of the 15th edition of IPL, many players had decided to go out of their way. The IPL franchise is very angry with the attitude of the players. For this reason, the BCCI and the IPL governing body are planning to take action against the players who withdraw their names after buying in the auction.

Ban on playing for a few years

According to the report, the BCCI is working on formulating a new policy. Under this, if a player withdraws from the IPL, then he will be banned for a few years. However, before imposing a ban, it will be thoroughly investigated whether the reason for the withdrawal of the player is justified or not.

Names will be put on the watch list

A board official said that if any player decides to withdraw from the tournament citing for weak reasons, then he will be put on the watch list. However, it is not known what is the weak factor that can get players in trouble.
