IPL 15: RR beats KKR with Chahal’s hat-trick after Butler’s swashbuckling century. Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs on the basis of 5 wickets including a hat-trick from spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and a stormy century from Jos Buttler. Rajasthan scored 217 runs for 5 wickets which is the highest score of this season. In reply, KKR’s team was all out after scoring 210 runs in 19.4 overs.


Another T20 Ton From Buttler Helped Rajasthan For a Mammoth Score

Jos Buttler scored a total third century of the IPL, out of which he hit two this season itself. Against Kolkata, Buttler played an innings of 103 runs in 61 balls. During this, he hit 9 fours and 5 sixes. Buttler put on a brilliant partnership of 97 runs for the first wicket with Devdutt and 67 runs for the second wicket with captain Sanju Samson.

Chahal’s Hat-Trick Changed The Game

Rajasthan’s spinner Yuzvendra Chahal changed the course of the match in the 17th over of the innings. He completed the hat-trick by taking the wickets of captain Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi on the fifth ball, and Pat Cummins on the 6th ball on the fourth ball of this over. Chahal also dismissed Venkatesh Iyer on the first ball of this over. Chahal took a total of 5 wickets.

Shreyas Tried From One End

To chase down the target of 218, KKR lost it’s very first wicket on the first ball. After that KKR captain Shreyas Iyer came down to bat and build a fast 107 run partnership with Aaron Finch. But Prashidh Krishna sent Finch back to the pavilion to break this partnership. Shreyas tried to keep up this high run chase. But wickets were falling on the other end and KKR was reduced to 210 in 19.4 overs.

Doubt on April 20th match
