India Beat West Indies By 155 Runs. 7th win by record partnership.

ICC Women’s WC: India beat West Indies by 155 runs in ICC ODI World Cup match with openers Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur‘s record partnership of scintillating centuries. In the match played on Saturday, India won the toss and elected to bat. The Indian team made a huge score of 317 runs for 8 wickets, which is their highest score in the World Cup. Earlier, India’s highest in the World Cup was 284 runs for six wickets, which they scored against West Indies in 2013. Chasing the same target of 318 runs, the West Indies team was reduced to 162 runs in 40.3 overs.

India maintains their unbeaten record in the World Cup against West Indies and registers the seventh consecutive win. At the same time, India forced the West Indies team to suffer the first defeat in this World Cup, before this West Indies had won two consecutive matches.

Opener Smriti Mandhana scored 123 while Harmanpreet Kaur scored 109 runs. Both of them added 184 runs in 174 balls for the fourth wicket. This is the highest partnership from India for any wicket in the history of the World Cup. While playing 119 balls, Smriti hit 13 fours and two sixes and Harmanpreet Kaur hit ten fours and two sixes while playing 107 balls.
